This entry is part 1 of 11 in the series Tell Me Thursday

Welcome to my first week of Tell Me Thursday.  Tell Me Thursday, or TMT, is a meme that is posted each Thursday that talks about the photo you post for Wordless Wednesday.  It is basically the rest of your story to the prior day’s posting that people were probably wondering about.  It allows you to be totally wordless on Wednesdays if you like.

So how do you participate if you are new like me?  Well you start by participating in Wordless Wednedsay.  Then on Thursday you link to your WW post and then talk about what that picture was about – what was going on, who was there, what does this picture represent.  After that you go and link back over to TMT so others can visit and enjoy your post.

So here I go with week one.  Yesterday, my Wordless Wednesday post, I posted a set of pint glasses with a Bud Light Logo and a UFC Logo.  What is that about?  Here’s the story…

Two weeks ago, Mike and I went on a date night to Buffalo Wild Wings and were served our favorite, Bud Light, in these brand new glasses.  We go fairly regularly and haven’t seen these glasses around.  So Mike started getting interested in them.  You see, every month Mike and I have a standing date night that no matter what we make sure to have.  It is basically going to either BWW or our local bar to watch the UFC fight for that month.  So when these glasses came out and had our favorite date night activity on them (Bud Light + UFC) Mike wanted them.  Unfortunately, our waiter wasn’t sure if they were available for sale and never could really find out.  So Mike just decided he’d clean a pair and that pair just happened to fit inside of my Kate Spade handbag and find their way home with us.  LOL.  So now we have this pair that we use at home and constantly smile when we see them because of the effort it took to bring them home.  I have to admit I wouldn’t mind another pair so that we’d have 4 to use when friends come over.  Not sure if I’m willing to put another handbag up for the challenge though.  I was lucky not to get a drop of beer in that bag!

So what is your WW story?

Tell Me Thursday about Wordless Wednesday. This is one of my favorite memes out there right now. This meme allows you to go wordless on Wednesday and tease everyone with your photo. Then on Thursday, you explain the photo so that everyone has the “rest of the story”. So yesterday, I posted a photo of some type of animal. You can see yesterday’s Wordless Wednesday post here.  The responses I received were awesome.  A few people knew what it was while others had no clue.  That’s ok because let’s talk about that photo. :)

That is a picture of Toby which I borrowed from the Houston Zoo’s website.  Toby is a young red panda that is coming to “live” at our zoo for a while.  He’s been hanging out at the Chicago Zoo and is moving down here to replace the Koala that went back home to San Diego.  I didn’t realize zoos shared animals so much but it is kinda cool when you think about it.  Toby has made it down here and is getting acclimated to his new digs.  The zoo is also putting on the final touches to his new home so he is not on display yet but the big grand opening of his new home and his first appearance is scheduled for March 28th.  Mike and I are very excited to meet Toby and see what his personality is like.  The koala was nice but just sat in his trees and slept all day.  I hope Toby is playful because he looks so cute and would be fun to watch.  The Zoo has dubbed him the “Cutest Animal in the World” and has been leaving clues for a month now as to what he will be.  They unveiled his photos this week one of which I selected for my Wordless Wednesday post.

So there you have it.  I hope to get to the zoo soon and take my own photo of Toby to share with everyone.

So yesterday I posted this photo for my weekly Wordless Wednesday meme.  So now I’m going to tell you about it since it is

So yesterday’s picture was taken at opening night of LSU’s new baseball stadium, Alex Box Stadium, via helicopter.  I did not take the picture, rather one of my friends sent it my way since neither one of us live close enough to make it to a game let alone opening night.  Some of my fondest memories from college have come from the baseball stadium at LSU.  I was a batgirl all four years of college which allowed me to make some amazing friends and be apart of a great baseball program.  I was able to travel to the SEC Tournament in Birmingham, Alabama and to the College World Series in Omaha, Nebraska. The memories of what we did on those trips – ice skating, going to the zoo, barbeques – are some of the best scrapbook pages I have put together.  It was also through being a batgirl that I started my love for happy hours.  Every Thursday I had a group of girls that I would go with to Happy Hour at Chili’s after our meeting.  We just couldn’t pass up chips and queso and 2 for 1 margaritas!

So there you have it.  It might not be the same stadium I had all of my memories in but it still represents those fun times and I can’t wait until I do have some time to go home and see the new stadium.

Yesterday, I posted this photo for my weekly Wordless Wednesday meme. So now I’m going to tell you where it was taken and a little more about the photo.

This photo is from a Jet Ski Rental place in Destin, Florida. Every summer growing up, my family and I would spend a week in Destin at our timeshare. I still love going back to the beach there but do not get to go as often since my drive has now doubled. A few years ago, we did go as a family and my dad and brother decided they wanted to ride jet skis again. In order to save a few bucks, we went to a rental place on the bay side not on the beach as it is cheaper. My mom and I sat out under these trees in fun plastic chairs and read while the boys played. It was so nice and relaxing. It looks like we are at the beach but we are not. Kind of cool isn’t it?

So there you have it. The story behind the photo. If you want to play, blog about your Wordless Wednesday photo and leave a comment so I can come visit. Also, click on the button above and go to the official site and sign the Mr. Linky.

So yesterday I posted this photo for my weekly Wordless Wednesday meme. So now I’m going to tell you about it since it is…

The photo yesterday is from the new Toy Story Mania ride at Disney’s Hollywood Studios. Can I tell you that that is a difficult ride to get on? It is the newest attraction at Walt Disney World (and possibly Disneyland as well) and as such, everyone runs to ride it first. Now back to the photo. When you are in the queue for the ride you pass through these rooms which are decorated in kid toys and games. There is a huge talking Mr. Potatohead, a barrel of moneys hanging around, and this wall of the game Candyland among other things. Candyland was my all time favorite game growing up. In fact, just a couple of years ago, I bought a new game so I could replace the beat up (and torn up one) from my childhood. Every now and then I drag it out for Mike to play with me. So you could only imagine my excitement when I walked in and saw that. The ride was pretty awesome too. So next time you are at DHS make sure to hit this ride up first.
