This is a Sponsored Post written by me on behalf of wellnessdaily.com. All opinions are 100% mine.
I’ve written a few times in the past about my job. I am a financial statement auditor and I just finished my 5th busy season as an auditor. I never thought I’d make it this far. It has taken a lot of blood, sweat, and tears so to speak to get here. With that said, it has also led to a 30 pound weight gain over those 5 years. I stepped on my Wii Fit that I drug out of hibernation last night and I was greeted with a message telling me it had been over 200 days since I last used the Wii Fit program and in that time I’d gained 15.5 pounds. Talk about a shocker!
Losing weight use to be fairly easy for me. I’d just cut my calories and go to the gym. I was also in college with quite a bit more time and less stress. Now I barely make it home at a decent hour where I can cook and go to the gym. It is quite frustrating and I need to find a more streamlined method.
Tonight, I did find a new website, www.wellnessdaily.com, that I believe will be beneficial to me and to any of my readers who are looking for some motivation. This website includes healthy living blogs, quick and easy recipes, and videos on topics such as weight loss and exercising. Quick and easy recipes are right up my alley especially if they are healthy and can help me cut my calories and cravings. I am also excited about videos on exercising. I am so tired of just riding an exercise bike or using the elliptical at the gym. Though I am reading my books, it gets dull and boring. I would love to be able to incorporate some new exercises into my routine. I thing the videos will be able to help me do that without injuring myself.
This website is 100% free to join and you have access to all of the information. If you sign up soon, you can download a rebate from from Jennie-O for $5 off your next turkey product. I love ground turkey so I am going to search for a recipe that I can make in the crockpot with ground turkey and then send in my UPC for my $5 off.

Books
So here is the premise behind Teaser Tuesday:
Grab your current read.
Let the book fall open to a random page.
Share with us two (2) “teaser” sentences from that page, somewhere between lines 7 and 12.
You also need to share the title of the book that you’re getting your “teaser” from … that way people can have some great book recommendations if they like the teaser you’ve given!
Please avoid spoilers!
Happy Tuesday! We have gotten through one of the rougher days of each week (Monday) and hopefully everything will be smooth sailing from here on out. I finished The Cinderella Pact this weekend and found it to be a great motivational read. This is a chick lit book about three girls who make a pact to lose weight over the course of a year and while it is totally fictional, the characters feel real and in my case, motivated me to get moving again. There is also another plot to the book but I’ll save that for later as I can’t give away too much now. I plan to do a full book review later tonight on this awesome book.
She doesn’t have to say any more. If it were good news she’d jump right in with how much they loved the proposal, how much money they were paying me. “It’s bad, isn’t it?”

Happy Think Thin Thursday! I am so excited about this week because it is the week after busy season ended and I’m eating healthily and exercising. I finally feel like I’m back to my routine after an off and on February. I didn’t participate last week because I just was too tired since Thursday was filing day and I barely made it to work in time and I left pretty late. I did hop on Monday morning for one of my forum challenges and weighed in at 152.9 per the Wii Fit so I will use that as last Thursday’s weight. This morning I weighed in at 151.8 so that is a 1.1 pound loss! Counting points and exercising is working for me!
I also finally accomplished my last goal which was to try a new recipe. I gave beef-lite a try and it was pretty darn good and easy to throw together in the crockpot. So mission accomplished. Today I’m giving lazy chicken in the crockpot a try.So for my next goal I want to try and only eat 1 meal out this weekend. Weekends are my downfall because it is so easy to become lazy and eat while you are out doing errands. I want to try and cut that out because it will save calories and money. So far just Saturday night has been planned for dining out so I’m going to try really hard and keep it that way.
Bridgette is asking us to give a quote that motivates us this week. The quote can be about anything and does not have to be weight loss specific. So with that in mind and my recent return to Weight Watchers, I’m going to share a favorite quote of mine from Dottie’s Weight Loss Zone (www.dwlz.com)
“I didn’t come this far to take orders from a cookie!”
Happy Thursday. If you are participating leave a comment and share something about your journey. If you aren’t participating, check out the Not So Blog and join in the fun!

Entertainment
I’m still watching the Oscars – normally I would have ditched it by now – and there have been a few presenters so far that have reminded me of movies I need to add to my Netflix queue like Mamma Mia and Rachel Getting Married. I am more of a watch the movie at home rather than pay the $10 to go watch it at the theater. In all honesty, there isn’t much difference in watching on the small screen or the large screen to me at least.
The pre-show and so far in the show it seems like the focus has been on Angelina Jolie and Penelope Cruz who just won best supporting actress. Both are looking rather lovely especially after having kids in the past year. I have to say that while they aren’t my favorite actresses, they are just glowing and are taking the baby poundage weight loss slowly and healthily. Definitely no weight loss products for those two. It is kind of refreshing to see that not everyone in Hollywood immediately turn to pills or surgery to shed weight.

I lost track of what week I am in now. I’ve been a little sporadic in my blogging for Think Thin Thursday meme but with a new year, I have a new outlook and a resolution to be more organized and on top of things. So last time I checked in, I think it was right before Christmas, after my illness and I was weighing in around 152. This morning when I stepped on the scale I wasn’t too surprised to see myself at 153.5/154. I have been bloated lately and drank a little last night in celebration of the New Year and had alot of pizza. So no surprise that I’ve gained a little in the water weight department. I don’t want to keep the scale creeping up so I’ve decided to challenge myself to work out 6 days a week for 30 minutes a day in January. This is part of the Sunshine Rewards forum’s January Exercise Challenge so I hope to do well and encourage others to keep their goals and get healthier in the new year.
Over on the Not-So-Blog-Blog who is bringing Think Thin Thursdays to us, Bridgette is asking everyone to journal their New Years Resolutions.
Well, my resolutions have not changed since a few days ago when I wrote about them. I’ll rewrite them though because I hear when you write things down they stick a little better and I could use that LOL.
- Be more budget conscious and save more money so I can buy a house!
- Lose weight and be more healthy overall!
- Be more organized and on top of things!
So there you have it. A very short list of my resolutions. All are very doable and are not major ordeals to accomplish so I think I am in good shape.
