The Blonde Diaries

Hello and happy Monday! I am hoping to have a great reading week this week as I have been slacking big time! I am hoping that I can finish the Sookie Stackhouse series this week and continue my quest to finish the Princess Diaries Series. That will just leave me with the Stephanie Plum series as my only in progress series.  I have the Dead and Unwed series waiting on my TBR stack.

I have had 2 really good weeks of reading. I have been able to clear a few books off of my reading list and discovered a couple of new ones. I have a couple of Plum books which are ready for pick up at the library so I think I’ll be starting that series fairly soon. Whew! That is a lot of reading that I have planned to get done in the next couple of weeks. I am up for the challenge though and can’t wait until the Christmas holidays officially start and I can read all day as long as I want!

Another fun book challenge for 2009 aptly titled “To Be Read” Challenge.  This book challenge, challenges you to read 12 books between January 1, 2009 and December 31, 2009.  Whichever books you list in you challenge post, you have to read.  No ifs, ands, or buts unless you make an alternates list of a maximum of 12 books that you could pick in place of one of your original picks.  Re-reads (ie books you have read before) are not allowed and you may double dip if you are doing other challenges.

Ok so I am not as far along as I was hoping to be for this challenge but I am hoping to make up some ground this coming weekend where I have some free time to just hang out and read.

So here is the premise behind Teaser Tuesday:

Good morning! It is a beautiful day here in Houston. Unfortunately, I will be inside at work all day long so I won’t get to enjoy it. That’s alright because I will just wrap myself up in a book when I get home and let my imagination carry me off to a fun, far away place. Right now I am reading Ransom My Heart which is technically by Meg Cabot but she attributes the story to Princess Mia from the Princess Diaries. It is really good so far.

I finished Accidentally Engaged by Mary Carter yesterday night and loved it. I wanted to share my teaser from that book today.

“This couldn’t get any worse, Rachel,” I said, standing up. “Do not,” I said in my most menacing voice, “marry Jack Heron. If you do, you will regret it the rest of your life. What little will be left of it,” I said, holding up the Death card and turning it to face her.

Another Monday has come and I am not quite ready for it.  In fact, I can’t believe we are halfway through this Monday.  It is flying by but that is a good thing.  I’m sure the next 6.5 hours I have to be here at work though will start dragging out.  I have a book to look forward to though so it is all good.  I can’t wait to finish it and start a new one.
