Merry Christmas everyone! It is finally Christmas morning at my parents house. I went to bed right after we got home from 11pm Mass (the new midnight mass) and was up bright and early at 7am. I am so ingrained in my daily habits that there was no way I’d be able to stay up and watch tv with the rest of my family. So of course I am up way earlier than anyone else waiting for everyone to wake up so I can see what is under the tree. I think I might venture out of my room in a few and peak at the stocking while I wait. I think the Disney parade might be coming on soon too.

Hope everyone has a safe and fun day today with your family, friends, whomever you choose to celebrate with.

I am officially done shopping.  I hit up Spec’s last night and bought a couple of six packs of beer for my dad and a wine rack for my mom.  I am so glad my shopping season is over.  No last minute rushing to the mall or to Walmart for me (until I get home and find someone wants to go out LOL).  I’ll be hitting up the stores in the after Christmas sale to pick up some items for the new tradition Mike wants to start – celebrating Kings day which is the 12th day of Christmas.

If you are not done shopping you still have a little time left and you can still get some great presents.  While you can no longer shop online and have it shipped to you in time, you can still ship to store on many websites or just find what you want online and then go to the store to find it on the shelves by searching for the departments which will save you time going up and down every row looking at everything before finding the items that you want. I would be thrilled if someone in my family would go pick up some last minute gifts from Kmart for me like that foot bath to the left. It is retailing for $19.99. After walking around in my 4 inch heels at work all day, I’d love nothing more than to kick back and soak my feet at night. There are other last minute gifts available like cuddle blankets (with arms), Tinkertoys, Tinkerbell figurines, and Craftsman tool sets all under $25 and perfect for your last minute shopping. If you need to go out, stop by Kmart and shop their 25,000 gifts under $25 to save a few bucks and ensure everyone on you list receives a great gift.

Oh My Gosh! There are only 2.5 shopping days left and can I tell you I really don’t want to be out in the stores anymore. Mike and I went out Saturday only to end up walking around clueless and leaving after 2 hours with massive headaches. The crowds were out of this world as well. Luckily we went to the Houston Galleria during the day and it is spacious enough to where you don’t feel the entire crowd there. Memorial City Mall was another whole story later that night. We thought we were totally done until last night when we were gathering everything to wrap. Apparently, last month when we went to Toys R Us we left a bag on their baggie carousel and we are missing the present for his youngest niece – the Lily doll from Hannah Montana and a cute pink purse. So back to the store we will be going today. I’m going to try Target as I am sure Toys R Us is a mad house and I am slightly ticked that they let us walk out of there without a bag.

Hopefully you are all done or very close to it.

Still looking for that perfect gift or just a fun gift for someone?  How about a season pass to Morey’s Piers in New Jersey?  Right now Morey’s Piers is offering a 40% off sale on season passes to both of their waterparks.  Morey’s Piers is part of the great Wildwood attractions and roller coasters on the Jersey shore and is sure to be a crowd pleaser no matter who you give a season pass to.

You do not have to live in the Wildwood area or close to New Jersey to take advantage of this deal.  In fact, if you know anyone planning a vacation already for next summer or potentially thinking about going on a Jersey Shore beach Vacationthis would be a great gift for them as well since it will provide some fun entertainment.  Season passes are already a great way to save some money in your entertainment budget as they are normally less than buying regular admission tickets but now at 40% off you really can’t beat this deal.  Just going for a week and buying the season pass will save you some money versus buying the multi-day pass or general admission each day you are there.

The sale runs December 1 through January 9 and you can save almost 40% on a Season Pass to Morey’s Piers.  So check it out today!

With only twelve days until Christmas, many shoppers are starting to worry that there is not enough time left to order online or to get any really good deals on items still on their shopping list. Well, I am here to tell you that is NOT the case. You still have plenty of time to shop online and there are some great bargains out there to be found.

For example, Sears has two great deals in their 12.7.08 – 12.13.08 weekly ad such as a Canon Powershot 8.0-megapixel 4X optical zoom digital camera. The Canon camera is retailing for $149.99 before you apply the $20 instant savings that Sears is offering. I am a strong believer that everyone have a camera of their own so if you have a loved one in your family without a digital camera, check this deal out tonight. I have owned 2 Canon cameras (traditional film and digital) and both have been outstanding in the photo quality category.

If everyone already has a camera, how about a pool table that converts to a table tennis game for your family room? I had a friend in high school with a pool table and we loved to go over there every Friday night to hang out in the game room watching tv and playing pool. Right now Sears has one by Fullerto that is 7 feet and is both a pool table and a table tennis table. It is on sale for $279.99 and it regularly retails for $399.99. Talk about a great sale price and a great family gift.
