Wednesday afternoon already.  This week is quickly shaping up into a very lazy week.  I have made it to the gym once, I have managed to cook one meal at home, I have read one chapter of the new book I am reading, and I have made as of this post, one blog post.  Wow that is pretty lazy!

But I have to say I am enjoying the veging out and being lazy.  Letting my mind wander and reading articles and blog posts on the internet has really let my mind clear out and I’ve been able to ponder so many different things.  I’ve also been able to start coming up with game plans.  Game plans on things like – budget friendly meals, saving money by using up items I have, finding new things to work on at home to provide entertainment and enjoyment.

So now that I’ve finished thinking and being lazy for the week I think I am going to try and start catching up on the book reviews I need to write and some fun Disney Theme Park Videos to share with everyone.  I can’t believe how long it has been since I’ve done a fun YouTube post.

tags,

I just posted a few days ago about the explosion of people I know having babies this year. It has finally made me wake up and realize I will be there in a few years. I have to say even at 27.75 years old I still do not know what to expect and what I should do/not do when pregnant. My friends have been a wealth of information but there are still things that I am curious about but don’t want to ask for various reasons.

I have turned to google instead for my pregnancy questions because I can read as much as I want and at a pace I am comfortable with. I recently came across a parenting website hosted by Nickelodeon (the television station) that is really fun and informative. There are lots of questions and answers as well as an online message board for you to turn to with all of your questions. I read a few articles today about what to expect in week 21 and week 24 of your pregnancy just to see what it might say. They were both very comprehensive articles that gave information as to how you should/are feeling, what is going on with the baby’s development, and steps you should think about taking in the next few weeks to prepare. Pretty cool! I hope that when I am finally ready to start thinking about babies of my own that I am very informed on everything and will be as prepared as possible.

Not for me!  LOL I want to get married first before even thinking of that next step.  It seems though that my friends are starting to enter baby time.  I have two due this year – one in July and one in September.  Two good months in my opinion.  So far everything seems to be going according to schedule for them.  The babies are healthy and growing at a good rate.  The one due in July is having a boy and the one in September is hoping to find out in a few weeks at her doctor’s appointment.  I am truly excited for both of them.

But can I admit for a moment that I am scared to death of pregnancy! The thought of growing a baby for nine months and not really knowing what to expect during the first pregnancy has me worried and scared to death. There are so many unanswered questions that I have and the list grows longer. A few things I’m wondering about: Can I continue to exercise? Are there any foods I need to avoid such as peanuts? Will I be able to feel my baby moving around in me (I know so silly)? Can I have non-alcoholic beer? That is just the tip of the iceberg because I haven’t touched on medication, morning sickness, stretch marks, the birthing process. Wow!

Since I’m not too serious about trying to have a baby in the next year I feel silly asking my doctor about these questions. It seems a tad early you know. Luckily, my friends did listen to my mirage of questions and pointed me to the website they are using as it is a pretty comprehensive website. It is pregnancy.healthguru.com and it answers your questions and gives tips via videos not boring articles. So far I’ve been able to answer quite a few of my questions above but I’ll have to check with the doctor on that Odoul’s question.

Wow this was a busy weekend.  I spent Friday night with Mike and we had our “Valentine’s Day” dinner at our favorite Mexican restaurant.  Saturday I woke up bright and early and started cleaning.  I mainly focused on vacuuming, mopping, and doing dishes.  I wish I would have done a little dusting because I am looking at the tv and noticing how dusty the tv stand is. No wonder our allergies are acting up right now.

So after I finished my light cleaning my mom made it to town and we were off to scout out a hotel for the wedding and then to our play – Legally Blonde: The Musical (more to come in its own post). Today, we took my mom to run errands – pick out the tux, pick up my dress, purchase bridal accessories, and then to try sushi since she had never tried it before. I think she really enjoyed it too. Once we got home it was time for her to run home and Mike drug me to the gym because I have “back fat” in my dress and it needs to go!

Whew! Just typing out our day has made me tired all over again. I’m turning in early and will be back tomorrow to tell you all about Legally Blonde: The Musical!

I have that song Celebrate in my head right now. The song that goes “Celebrate Good Times, Oh Yeah!” It is just such a fun and upbeat song. I’m not quite sure how it even entered my head today as I am not celebrating anyone’s birthday and no one’s is coming up until March when my brother turns another year older.

Ahh I know what it was. I was thinking back earlier today for some strange reason to my grandparent’s 40th wedding celebration and my family and I crashed a Polish-Italian wedding that my entire family up north was invited to (we weren’t invited as we didn’t live up there and didn’t really know the people). I was only 9 at the time but it was so much fun because the Polish and Italian families wanted to do things their own way so they had separate rooms at the reception – one for the Polish things and Polish band and one for the Italian things and Italian band. I liked being able to flip between the rooms and listen to the different styles of music and sample the different varieties of food they were being served.

My wedding reception won’t be quite that fun and exciting. We are sticking to the traditional dj playing a good mix of hits and sticking with the usual cheese tray, vegetables, and meat selection. It would be interesting to see what a Vietnamese-Polish wedding would be like I have to admit. Perogies and Fried Spring Rolls. Yum!
