Holiday Season Reminder

Posted under diet by The Blonde Diaries on December 1st, 2008 11:43 pm

The holidays are here which means lots of baking and yummy food all around us. I know because I just baked Mike some cookies (I haven’t had a one yet!!) to put in my festive cookie jar. It is really hard to manage to be good and stay on track during the holiday season if on a diet. I am trying to surround myself with healthy treats and try new recipes like the famous diet coke cake and will limit my indulgences for the most part. That said, remember the holidays are not the best time to try new diets and diet pills such as alli as they can reek havoc on your digestive system and can also lead to sabotaging your weight loss goals. So try to limit your intake this holiday and start anew January 1 with your diet plans.

So far so good!

Posted under diet by The Blonde Diaries on August 11th, 2008 1:47 pm

It has been so far so good today on the hydroxycut front. I wrote a few days ago about how I was going to use a little help in the form of diet pills to get my weight loss going. I went with hydroxycut because the side effects of Alli were just too much for me to play around with (carrying a spare pair of pants around - no thank you!). The main ingredients of hydroxycut are actually carb blockers not laxatives which is reassuring. A few of the reviews I read also mention that this pill is loaded with caffeine so I will be on the lookout for changes in my attention span and jitters which many people complain about and seem to be the most common side effect. I am very glad that reviews exist out there on the internet because I have been able to ease my nerves and be proactive rather than reactive throughout this entire process and I plan on continuing to be proactive. The internet and the reviews provided by every day users like you and I are a tremendous help. Make sure you research before buying a product and after wards leave a review on a website as well.

If you are taking the plunge on diet pills read this!

Deciding to go the diet pill route or not is a very difficult choice for some. I know for me it is always a last resort when I am truly desperate and about to give up. Once you decide to invest in a diet pill how do you know it is one that is right for you or works? I mean it is not like they are cheap if you know what I mean. So what can you do or where can you go? Sybervision has a web site dedicated to diet pill reviews from everyday users like you or I. The users write reviews and tell you what works and what doesn’t work. So before you spend the money, give this site a visit to make sure you purchase pills that will work.

Weight Watchers End of Week 10 update

Posted under diet by The Blonde Diaries on May 12th, 2008 11:32 pm
This entry is part 11 of 27 in the series Weight Watcher Updates

Week 10 came and went pretty darn fast. Work kept me pretty busy in that we had to speed up the filing of our Q1 by a week and had an extra filing thrown on us at the last minute that had to be out the door ASAP so they could beat their industry peers to market. Needless to say I was a bit tired and stressed last week but ate at home most of the week so not all nutrition wise was lost.

I did over do it this past weekend with eating out. Friday night we hit up Cadillac Bar (Mexican restaurant in the Landry’s chain) and had steak fajitas for 2 with garlic butter and some pretty colored drinks. Saturday was surf and turf night (more on that to come) and Sunday was Buffalo Wild Wings for the Spurs Game (Go Spurs Go!) since we lack cable and the game was on TNT. So at weigh in this morning I was up a pound due to sodium and beer. Well I have to live so I’m not going to beat myself up over 1 pound. I’ll just sweat it out this week.

I did start to think though, with these stressful times at work that keep popping up if maybe supplementing the diet and exercise with diet pills might help some. I’m not too familiar with them but know enough that Alli scares me a bit. I mean who wants to carry around extra pants and worry about what is or might come out. No thank you. But there are so many other pills on the market that I think could produce the same results without nasty consequences. I’m still in the research phase of this but I will definitely post back what I find out.
