    A Virtual Love Note

    Featuring Cate and Mike
Create your own at Robbins Brothers, The Engagement Ring Store

I love the feeling of being in love. It is the greatest feeling in the world and one that I hope never goes away. Yes, I am a cheesy newlywed and it only gets worse as the last few friends of mine jump into new relationships and share their new love feeling with me.

One of the fun things about being in love is showing how much in love you are with that special someone. Cards, photos, cooking brownies/cookies, etc are all fun ways but I just found another fun way that doesn’t cost a penny nor does it require any time in the kitchen. Score! Over at the Robbins Brothers website, the engagement ring leaders, you can customize your own slide show as I have above. You upload photos and then you customize your message at the end to say whatever you want to. I left a message to my QT, Mike, about our honeymoon but you could even use this to propose to your girlfriend. As I said above, the Love Widget is completely free with a short registration over at the Robins Brothers website which you can get to by clicking on that link. Give it a try yourself and share some memories with your loved one today.

Mike and I found while planning our wedding that one of the hardest things relating to your wedding isn’t what flowers to choose or what flavor of cake you want. It was actually what do you give the people who help you throughout the entire planning process and on your wedding day. Gifts for the groomsmen and bridesmaids can be one of the hardest things to pick especially if yall have been in a lot of weddings together as the ideas can dwindle really quickly on you. The other thing we had to be wary about was picking a gift that fit our budget without looking too cheap. I think we succeeded with the feedback we’ve received.

Mike’s choice for groomsmen gifts were engraved cufflinks in an oval shape. They were absolutely gorgeous and look very expensive. Luckily for us we bought online so the actual price was under $30 for each pair! You can opt to do a first initial or all three initials for your cufflink engravement.

Another great idea is the engraved pocket watch I love the look of an engraved pocket watch. It is very old fashioned but such a great conversation piece if you wear one to a special event. Pocket watches also look much more expensive than they actually cost when it comes to groomsmen gifts.

If you are just stating out in your process with buying your groomsmen gifts pay a visit to VIP groomsmen gifts. They have a great selection of groomsmen gifts with a wide variety that should fit every groom’s wedding party. The prices are very reasonable and can keep you both on budget and underbudget without much effort on your part.

This entry is part 9 of 11 in the series Tell Me Thursday

So yesterday I posted this photo for my weekly Wordless Wednesday meme. So now I’m going to tell you about it since it is…

Sorry so late today. I keep having mini-disaster after mini-disaster here at work. Sigh. Luckily it is lunchtime so I’m taking a break.

This week, I went with a photo from Mike and I’s wedding. We were married on July 11th so it will be 2 months next week. It has been such a huge relief to have the wedding over with. No more worries about booking things, budget stress, or constant phone calls asking if I have done this or that. I finally feel as if I can have my life back and boy am I trying to catch up – scrapbooking, cooking, cleaning, you name it, I’m working on it. LOL.

This photo is from the vow exchange portion of the wedding ceremony. We were married with the traditional Catholic Mass but at a church who likes to stick with a strict schedule. We were out of there within 50 minutes and had 20 minutes for photos before being thrown out. I rather appreciated their strictness. Our priest at the mass is the pastor of the church. He likes to do his cermonies a tad differently. Rather than standing on the alter with you, he joins the crowd of friends and family as he is a “witness” as well rather than someone marrying us. So we had to stand at the top of the alter and turn around to face everyone. Talk about being really scared! I am not one who likes to be the center of attention so I was nervous the most about this part. I was calm all day till we got to the church and I remembered this part. Then the nerves came out! I was glad at that point that we kept the guest list small and that we had a little less than 100 people come because had the church been full I would have never made it! It was a great photo opp though so I am happy we did it this way and we have great pictures to remember our wedding by.
