My Kindle order has had the same message since yesterday morning when I go to check on the order status: Shipping Soon. I am such an impatient girl and I think I’ve done really well considering that I ordered it 1 month ago. I just want my pretty eBook reader tomorrow so I can enjoy it all weekend long. I have about 15 books (free and not-so-free) already loaded up and ready for me to start on.
So excitement is running high in my veins right now. I just want to have it so I’ll know it is mine and available whenever and whereever I want to have it. Is anyone else anxiously awaiting shipment too?

I decided Sunday night that I wanted an eReader. I was surprised that this thought popped into my head because just last year my good friend told me that she had bought the Kindle and all I could think about was not being able to read while taking a bubble bath if I bought a Kindle. But as I was browsing around Barnes and Nobles Sunday, I kept seeing the ads for the Nook and then the cute Kate Spade covers and I just thought: I must have one! I decided that night to just stick with the two paperbacks that I picked up and then research the Nook vs. the Kindle and go from there.
After reading review after review, I’m still in the same boat. Do I want the Kindle or the Nook? I like the idea of the Kindle because Amazon supports that format and Amazon is usually cheaper when it comes to books, but… The Nook has the Kate Spade cover and the luxury of going to the physical store and downloading my books there while I browse through the rows of books. Such a hard decision! Then, if I go with the Kindle, do I want the cheaper, 6 inch screen size or do I want to splurge for the 9 inch screen? Right now the 6 inch screen is sold out. So another wrench has been thrown in my direction. Sigh. There is a rumor going around about the possibility of the Kindle 3 coming out next month so for now I think I’m going to wait. I have piles of books all over my apartment just waiting to be read so I don’t think an eBook reader is going to make or break me right now. Plus I can save accordingly if I start now.

Books
Last night I officially accomplished my mission to finish the Princess Diaries series by Meg Cabot. These books were the inspiration for the Disney movies a few years ago. I believe there were 14 books in all (10 numbered and 4 in betweens) and I have to say I really enjoyed them. I was sad to come to the end of the series but I have a feeling I’ll be reading it again from the beginning one day soon. Until then, I have the movie (which was cute but the books were SOOOO much better) and Mia’s personal blog -> http://www.miathermopolis.com/ though it isn’t updated but once a month. It does feel like they are real, live people not just book characters who have died away. Well back to Monday night tv while I wait for Mike to get home. I really hope they file on Wednesday like they are planning to.

Well, I took a short blogging break during the month of March and some of April and totally missed out on my weekly book posting. Now I don’t even remember what I have read this year and in which month. I am going to have to be better about that in May. After reading a bunch on the cruise ship, I slacked off last week. I have my nightstand loaded up and ready to go so hopefully this will be a good week.
