So I have about 80 days until my cruise leaves Port Canaveral, Florida. Mike has already started dreaming about the tasty food we’ll find on board and how much he is planning to consume. I would like to share in Mike’s dreams but I sadly remembered that our excursions will be on beaches and right now I can’t wear any of my swim suits. I am in love with a retro suit over at Mod Cloth but I refuse to pay $90 for a suit in a size I never want to be again.
So the gym called and I answered the call. I had a little motivation from my therapist. You see, she thought it would be fine for me to hang out at home and veg out during this temporarily long vacation I am on as long as I ate well and went to the gym. I’m on week 3 and doing much better. I no longer fight and try to bargain my way out of going. I willingly go and try to have a good time but man my legs are sore. I’ve had a few good things come out of this new gym thing I’m doing. The first is that I did lose a couple of pounds with these regular workouts and I have clearer skin.
Clearer skin you say? Why yes. Exercise means you need more fluids, more fluids like water and sugar free kool-aid leads to happier, hydrated skin. Happy & hydrated skin helps keep the pimple count down. Also, since I’m on this temporarily long vacation, I no longer have to put on make up every day. So now I work out with clean, open pores each day. I swear working out is the best way to get rid of pimples. You increase your vitamins, water intake, and clean out your pores each time you go. You couldn’t ask for a better way especially since it is fairly free. If only it could be bottled up and sold to the masses. It would be more efficient if nothing else.
