I can’t go a day right now without someone asking me for a list for Christmas shopping. I am having the hardest time making a “wish list” that I can pass along to people. I feel that I have received so much over the past couple of years that there isn’t too much that I really need this year. I do have a personal wish list but it isn’t anything I would want to share because it is all large ticket items that I want to work towards saving and purchasing myself. So far I have Rosetta Stone in either Italian, Polish, or German, an upgraded digital cameras, and a new laptop. So you can see what I mean. I have my little savings account going and so far I’m doing fairly well with it. I’m not sure what I plan on purchasing first. I’m thinking the Rosetta Stone program and then the camera with the laptop last. That all might change though once I start hitting my savings thresholds.
So what is on your wish list? Do you have multiple lists – personal, family, friends, etc?

i want homemade gifts from my friends. my mom has been asking me for a list so i gave her an extensive list of movies that i want. i’m always jealous of people who have a huge movie library in their home so i want to start working towards my own big collection

@Alice – my coworker bought it in August/September as they had a back to school sale. I might check it out next fall if I don’t cave and buy it sooner. I just need to pick a language.

I hate making wish lists. It seems so self-serving to me. Here’s all the stuf I want – now go buy me something. I like getting something original because someone thought of me when they saw it. I guess I’m old fashioned, because these days I get e-mails from family members with their “wish lists” to make it “easier on me.” I think it smacks of greed and assumptions. I don’t want a list a mile long of what my 4 year old niece “needs.” I want to give her something from my heart. And they can pick out whatever they want for me – or nothing at all. That’s fine too. Except for Andy – he’s been told to buy me a new digital camera pronto. But that’s his job as the spouse ;0)
