Don’t put those leadership dreams off until tomorrow
Author: The Blonde Diaries / Category: GeneralWe are in some pretty stressful times right now when it comes to our jobs. Everyday another company is talking about layoffs or cutbacks and there is just no end in sight it seems. I hear my colleagues talk about wanting to improve their marketability but they just aren’t sure the best route to go or they just want to put it off with the uncertainty. I don’t believe putting things off ever is the right decision. Where there is a will there is usually a way.
One great way to help make yourself marketable is to obtain a master’s degree. There are a wide range of degrees out there that can help you in your career. One such degree is the Organizational Leadership master’s degree from Gonzaga University. Gonzaga allows you to earn your master’s degree via an online Organizational development university. In just 36 credit hours (15 hours a semester and 6 hours in the summer) you can have your master’s degree completed. Organizational Leadership degrees help professionals enter management levels across many different career paths as you focus on being a leader and helping lead the organization to accomplish their goals and mission statement. Being a leader takes certain skills that are hard to possess without proper knowledge – often gained through reading books – so earning credit while you read on the subject is just extra icing on the cake.
I love the idea of learning from the comfort of your home and on your own time. One misconception is that if you take your courses online that you will not be able to interact with your classmates or instructors. This is not true with Gonzaga. Your instructors are available by email or telephone and your classmates are available by email as well. There are also real time online forums for you to discuss topics with your fellow classmates and 24/7 tech support. If becoming a leader is one of your dreams there is no reason to put it off until tomorrow with Gonzaga University here to help you now.
