If it looks like a duck, and quacks like a duck

Then it is probably a duck right?

Well, it seems that that is not always the case. I was blog hopping the other day trying to catch up on favorite blogs that I follow and one post caught my attention. It was about how Jillian Michael’s from The Biggest Loser is promoting a weight loss system. Upon first glance, you would instantly associate this product with weight loss pills. They have the same sort of pictures, writing, and promises on the bottles and boxes as all of the other pills out there. Upon more Googling though, I found another post which linked up to Jillian’s Facebook page where she is basically coming out and saying that no these are not weight loss pills but more of a supplement to take when you are dieting and exercising. If that is the case why is it being labeled as a fat burner pill or calorie control pill? That doesn’t really lead me to believe this is a supplement.

I like Jillian and her 30 day shred really kicked my butt so I believe that she didn’t use pills to get where she is today, I just find it odd that she is out there selling them instead of sticking with her original message of diet and exercise.

What do you think of it all?

I don’t believe in diet pills. I think they do more harm than good by providing a quick fix rather than a long term solution. So I think she should market her supplements accurately.
