Living along the coast tends to bring a fair number of rainy days. Today is one of those rainy days. I woke up around 9am to listen to the rain coming down steadily outside. Mike had already gotten up and left for the day. He was heading to his buddies house to carpool to the Texans game. Luckily for them, the Texans have one of those retractable roofs that they close when the weather is bad.
Originally I was planning to hit the grocery store and the gym while Mike was enjoying the game. The rain changed all of that. Instead, I have managed to finish off last night’s pizza and watch some old 1980s movies – Mystic Pizza and Fame. Laziness set in pretty early this morning. I couldn’t even manage to heat up the pizza but I love my left over pizza cold so it worked out for me at least.
The sun seems to be starting to peak out from behind the clouds so I hope this is the end of the rain for today. Last I checked it was halftime so I still have some time to salvage the day before Mike gets pack. At least a trip to the grocery store so I can try out the BBQ shrimp skewer recipe I found last week and maybe the gym tonight with Mike. We’ll see though.

Hi there. I saw you on the MomDot forums. The rain today has really made me lazy. I just wanna nap. I am on couch now with the laptop. I am glad the Texans won though!
