So when Mike and I were registering for gifts a few months ago, I made sure to put on the registry one of those double sided mirrors – one side is normal and the other is a magnifying mirror. I had used a similar mirror in a couple of hotel rooms within the past year and loved how helpful they were while blending my makeup. Absolutely amazing!
So we were opening gifts this weekend and low and behold there was the mirror I wanted. I couldn’t wait to use it so I found a “home” for it and got it ready for use. It does work just as I remembered as far as magnifying and helping you blend. What I wasn’t counting on but that I found was that it also magnifies every pore on your face and all of the dry skin on my face. Oh it was quite upsetting as these are things you don’t really notice with the naked eye. All of these years I have been worrying about acne treatment for my blemishes but I haven’t really thought about moisturizing so that I wouldn’t have patchy skin. Ever since I plugged that mirror in and began to use it this week, I have also remembered to apply moisturizer. Twice a day now! I refuse to have patchy and dry skin. I’ve also noticed a few wrinkles/fine lines under my eyes so I think an eye cream will be on the shopping list this weekend – budget friendly of course so it will have to come from the drugstore. I’m thinking Oil of Olay or Neutrogena. We’ll see what is on the store shelves and go from there.
Who would have thought something so simple would cause such a headache?
