Boy am I glad it is Friday. This was my first full week back at work since taking practically the whole month of July off. I have to say it has been a tad rough adjusting back to working during the day. That hasn’t been the best attitude since we had to get through our Q2 review today. Talk about a little stress there.
So this week Aloha Friday is asking if we are a good secret keeper. I believe that I am a fairly good secret keeper. I mean if it isn’t that big of a deal I might tell another close friend but that would be it. If it was a big deal I would keep my trap closed as long as needed.
So my question this week: Have you ever regretted telling a secret?

I can’t recall ever having to tell one but I would only do that if someone were to be in danger if I didn’t tell.

I learned in 8th grade that you should never, ever, ever tell a secret, especially one that your best friend told you. There went that friendship! She had told me all about a guy in our class calling her over the summer to confess his feelings. I mentioned it to another friend at a slumber party, and guess what? Everyone at the party found out, and then some. I think my best friend was furious not only because I told but because she made the whole thing up. Yikes!

Absolutely. As a teen I told someone that another friend liked them but it turned out I was wrong. They had changed their minds & talk about the drama! Made me really keep my mouth shut afterwards.

I never told secrets. I know a lot of secrets because folks trusted me with them and knew I wouldn’t repeat them.

Oh that is terrible Mika. I can only imagine the hot water you were in and that poor girl must have been mortified. But I bet she also learned not to fib like that again.

I’ve not told a “secret” but I have shared something I later learned I shouldn’t have shared and I felt horrible.

I told a secret once in Junior High and I think it kind of changed the path my friendships went down and I always wonder what would have happened had I not blabbed that secret.

Oh good question. I always feel awful when I inadvertently let something out of the bag. but I always try to avoid gossip.
