When the economy first started showing signs of a recession, I remember seeing a ton of commercials online, on television, and on the radio advertising places that would purchase your broken gold jewelry or just old jewelry you did not want any more. I did not pay too much attention to these advertisements because I just do not have that many pieces of jewelry that I would want to get rid of as well as the few pieces I do want to remove from the collection have stones in the setting. From what I can understand, these places do not want the stones and will not pay you the value of the stones when you are selling your jewelry. So I have continued to ignore the commercials until they advertise places that want to purchase stones.
I will say that I am very curious to learn how the entire process works from sending the jewelry off and then receiving the money for the value of the gold. I think understanding the process first before you mail off the item will help prevent being completely ripped off. I found a website dedicated to teaching you how to sell jewelry. There are step by step directions to follow to help you get the most bang for your buck. Once you figure out what you want to sell, you can go on this website and find out who purchases old jewelry, their satisfaction rating, payout compared to the item’s market value, etc. Truth be told, the Cash4Gold 94% acceptance rate seems pretty good and it is no wonder it is bombarded with a lot of online transactions for buying gold. Check out the online Cash4Gold profile for more details.
You can also read tips and tricks in learning what you should consider selling versus what you might want to continue to hold onto. I found that the overall website taught me all about the process from beginning to end without bogging me down with too much information. If you are in the market to sell jewelry and are not sure where to begin, I’d suggest visiting the how to sell jewelry website.

I did this when SR had rewards for it one time. Worked painlessly. I sent in junk that I just had never wanted to throw away, but I had no interest in and knew I’d never wear again.
