Woo Hoo! Mike and I have finally hit the 30 day mark. We are super excited. I can’t believe this time next month I will be waking up, having breakfast, and getting ready to hit the hair salon to have my hair done before the wedding.
The waiting hasn’t been easy. I don’t quite understand why you have to start planning so darn early. If everyone would just take a deep breath and back away, I think we could all book our venues and vendors 6 months out and be a lot less stressed out. There will be less time to ponder your choices and to change your original choices before changing again or back to the original thoughts. I promised myself in the beginning I wouldn’t stress nor would I second guess or change my original plans. I have to say I pretty much stuck to my guns. I did slightly change my menu and cake flavors but nothing drastic and nothing major planned these last 4 weeks other than finally attending those dance classes I registered for last year and meeting with our priest to go over the ceremony.

You are so right. You book everything in like the first month – then find a dress and line up the bridal party – and then you DO NOTHING for months on end and cram it all into the last month before the wedding finalizing all the details. At least that’s how I did it. We only had about 7 months to plan but that was so much time that we managed to move in between the engagement and the wedding. Good times! Congrats on your countdown. Just stay focused on that honeymoon and you’ll be golden.
