April is quickly coming to an end which means it is time to discuss what is sitting on my nightsand (or in my nightstand) for next month. If this is your first time stopping by for What’s on Your Nightstand here is a brief overview of this monthly meme: On the fourth Tuesday of every month, participants are asked to tell everyone in a blog post about the books on their nightstand that they are wanting to read that month. Basically what are you reading, what do you want to read, and how did you pick these books.
So last month I read the following books:
- She Went All The Way by Meg Cabot
- Twilight by Stephanie Meyer
- New Moon by Stephanie Meyer
- Eclipse by Stephanie Meyer
- Breaking Dawn by Stephanie Meyer
- Midnight Sun (partial draft) by Stephanie Meyer
Whew! That is quite the long list but Easter weekend away from work really helped me read and relax. This month I am currently reading Nice to Come Home To by Rebecca Flowers. I picked this book up at the library sale a few weekends ago and thought it would be an interesting read. It isn’t as light and fluffy as I am use to reading. I am not sure what I am going to read next. I have quite a few books to choose from and more on the way from online shopping. Any recommendations from this stack on what to read next?

Oh, I so enjoyed “Riding the Bus with my Sister” (looks like that one’s on top in the middle). I very much related to the author and her experience, since I also have a sibling with a significant cognitive disability. I’d wholeheartedly recommend that one for a realistic and honest account of this experience.
Happy reading!

My my you have been busy. We have had a bit of a Stephenie Meyer time of it in our house of late too. One set of Twilight Saga books to share between 4 teenage girls. Luckily they all loved it so they got through each book fairly quickly otherwise we may have had a mutiny on our hands!! What did you think of Midnight Sun? The girls loved it and were extremly dissapointed it may not ever become a novel in the true sense of the word.
