Earlier this morning, I wrote about how nothing was going right at work and then I came home and kept getting error messages when trying to upgrade my blog to WordPress 2.7.1. I had tried what I thought was everything: reinstalled the plugin, reinstalled WP, checked the WordPress Automatic Upgrade Plugin blog for support and their support forums. Nothing was working.
Enter my pal Kimberly and she checked her blog since she didn’t have any issues yesterday during the upgrade and her WPAU plugin was deactivated. So I tried deactivating it and using the plugin that apparently came built in WordPress 2.7 and voila! Everything was upgraded and working perfectly. So if you are having an issue with your upgrade and you have the WPAU plugin activated, try deactivating it!
