Branson: Music, Outdoors, and Theme Park Fun!
Author: The Blonde Diaries / Category: GeneralI love to travel to places that I have never visited before because it can be fun and exciting to research and plan trips. I am able to learn about a particular destination and then explore everything it has to offer once I am there. While I was in high school, my parents discussed going to Branson, Missouri after my cousins went for a family vacation but we never made it there.
Now that I am older and planning my own family vacations, Branson has entered the running again. Why? Because it is a great destination and has just about everything that you could or would want to do. Branson is the “live music capital” featuring shows by many famous acts each night. There are also caves and caverns within driving distance that you can go tour with your family. My family and I did this while in Kentucky a few years ago and it was so much fun to walk around basically underground and seeing some really neat rock formations. If you like amusement parks, there is a great one featuring a very loopy roller coaster in nearby Silver Dollar City.
Going to Branson for an extended weekend isn’t that expensive either especially when you purchase a package deal. Branson Giveaways has packages starting at $457 per couple which covers 3 days and 2 nights in Branson. I like the Silver package as it includes tickets to Silver Dollar City and tickets to two live shows – The Baldknobbers which was Branson’s first show back in 1959 and mixes music and comedy acts and then Legends in Concert which is a tribute to various genres of music. There are other package offers based on what kind of things you want to do in Branson, how long you want to stay there, and how many people are going – a couple vs. a family. Branson Getaways is a great planning tool and one that if you use from the beginning should help you plan the perfect getaway especially when you start with one of their package deals.
