What’s on Your Nightstand – January 2009

January is quickly coming to an end which means it is time to discuss what is sitting on my nightsand (or in my nightstand) for next month. If this is your first time stopping by for What’s on Your Nightstand here is a brief overview of this monthly meme: On the fourth Tuesday of every month, participants are asked to tell everyone in a blog post about the books on their nightstand that they are wanting to read that month.  Basically what are you reading, what do you want to read, and how did you pick these books.

Last month, my nightstand included the following books:

  • A Size 14 is not Fat Either ~ Meg Cabot  Finished!
  • Big Boned ~ Meg Cabot  Finished!
  • The Boy Next Door ~ Meg Cabot – Finished!
  • Boy Meets Girl ~ Meg Cabot – Finished!
  • Every Boy’s Got One ~ Meg Cabot – Finished!
  • Twilight ~ Stephanie Meyer -Still on the nightstand

So overall I didn’t do too shabby last month.  In fact I also picked up another book at the airport and finished it.  So December/January was a great reading month.  This month is starting out slow because I am still at the beginning of The Scarlet Pimpernel but I plan on finishing this book and reading a few more which are sitting in my nightstand this month.

  1. The Scarlet Pimpernel ~ Baroness Orczy
  2. The Blonde Theory ~ Kristin Harmel
  3. She went all the way ~ Meg Cabot
  4. Cause Celeb ~ Helen Fielding
  5. Twilight ~ Stephanie Meyer

So what is on your nightstand?  What are you reading?

  2. Carrie, Reading to Know Says:

I haven’t read anything by Meg Cabot – YET! I am hoping to rectify that this month. Or next month. Or, at least, in the very near future!

    Thanks for sharing!

Meg Cabot’s books are very light and easy to read. I just “discovered” her right around Thanksgiving and needed some new books so I was able to buy them all on Amazon.com for a few pennies each. I highly recommend going that route if you like to buy books. Now that I’m done reading her books I need to find someone else to move onto. LOL.

Wow! You really are having a hard time with Twilight. LOL The last time I was here you were reading it. I really had forgotten to put Meg Cabot on my list…doing it now. Happy Reading!

No kidding. It has been on my night stand for 2 months now. I need to go ahead and read it already. I think I’m worried about being disappointed after all the hype. I promise though I will start reading it this month.
