Are you thinking about planning a trip to Europe in the near future? If you have been reading my blog, you should know that I am planning a honeymoon in Europe. I have two other friends planning to head over to Europe in May to go sightseeing. I’m not sure what has made us all decide 2009 is the year we would all go to Europe but something must be in the water we are drinking. LOL.
I am mainly staying in Venice and then hopping around on a cruise ship so luckily I do not have to worry too much about finding budget car rentals in Europe. My other two friends though are spending more time on land – one in Barcelona, Spain and the other in Belgium and France. Both are not too sure how they will be getting around and since public transportation isn’t very big in Houston they are thinking about renting a car to get around. Many Americans get nervous at the thought of driving around in Europe especially since in some countries they drive on the opposite side of the roads than we do, but it really isn’t that difficult. In fact, my father has been living in England and is not having a hard time driving over there at all and in fact enjoys it because he can see the countryside. Getting around the town has not proved to be very difficult. He said the same thing when he went to France when I was a child. In fact, he preferred the car hire France over taking taxis all over because it was easier to navigate via a map than to try and communicate in broken French with the cab drivers and wondering if they are going to the right destinations.
Since I’m the budgeting expert in our group, I have been instructed to help both of my friends find a budget car hire europe but at the same time making sure that it will be safe and reliable. Luckily, there are a ton of really good websites out there to help you find budget cars to get around in Europe. I can’t wait to see what I can find for them. Maybe they will try out one of those Smart Cars I see around Houston but am too scared to get into.

Well I am very jealous of your trip not having ever been to Europe – I have heard that one really cannot go wrong in Italy. Thanks for visiting the Monday Movie Meme – do come back and play anytime.
