Chick Lit Reviews: Big Boned by Meg Cabot

Author: The Blonde Diaries  /  Category: Books, Chick Lit

I brought Big Boned by Meg Cabot with me on my trip up to Pittsburgh last week.  I had started it a couple of days earlier and figured it would be a good book to read on the plane.  It was a fairly light and easy read and this time around it was pretty interesting without being too ridiculous like the two previous books in the series, A Size 12 is Not Fat and A Size 14 is Not Fat Either.  This book brings us back to Fischer Hall with washed up Heather Wells as the assistant resident hall director.  Everything seems to be going good for Heather since we last left her: she is enjoying her job, she has a good looking boyfriend after getting over Cooper’s rejection, and no one has died in Fischer hall lately.  Sounds great right?

Well, within a few chapters things change.  The head resident hall is found murdered in his office and once again the police are of no use. Heather also finds out her ex, Jordan, is getting married to Tania and one of her residents has a crush on her that she can’t shake.  Then if that wasn’t bad enough, her dad is pressuring her to get back into the music business.  Heather must take things into her own hands if this case will be solved within the next decade and if she wants to get her life back in order!  So is the case solved?  Does Heather turn back to music leaving her education behind?  Does Heather stay with the good looking boyfriend or does her feelings for Cooper get in the way?  The only way to answer these questions will be by reading the book!
