So last month I decided to start participating in the 5minutesforbooks.com monthly meme to jot down what books I had on my nightstand and which ones I hoped to get to read in the coming month. You can refer back to my November post here. I have to say I had a great November/December reading month and read 4 books this past month. All were the click lit variety and all were excellent in my opinion. LOL. I completed the 3 books in the Queen of Babble series (review here) and I started on a new Meg Cabot series last week – the Heather Wells mystery series, Book 1 is Size 12 is not Fat. I have not gotten around to reading Twilight so that one will stay on this months nightstand and I hope to get to it soon. I still have not geared myself up to read it so I am holding out until I am truely ready.
So on my nightstand this month are the following:
Size 14 is not Fat Either! by Meg Cabot – This is another Heather Wells series mystery book. So far the series has been good but not as good as the Queen of Babble series. I am hoping it does get better in the second and third books.
Big Boned by Meg Cabot. Ok it is not technically on my nightstand YET but it will be after I finish book #1 on the list so I can finish the series and read them all back to back so I don’t forget anything.
The Boy Next Door by Meg Cabot. This is her “boy series” from what I have read on her website. It is a three book series as well and should hopefully be another great mini-series of books. I have this book and the next book on my reading list on my Christmas wish list so hopefully they are under the tree right now since I didn’t realize this was a series and bought the third book first! Oops!- Boy Meets Girl by Meg Cabot
- Every Boy’s Got One by Meg Cabot
- Twilight by Stephanie Meyers.

Thanks for stopping by my blog!
Oh, you’re a much better person than I, for I hardly read books. I hope the Internet isn’t killing book sales like it is/has everything else!

WAT – I find I buy about 50% of my books via the internet and 50% at my local Borders. It really just depends on how many books I have backed up at home and if I can wait to buy a new one or not. With shipping charges now around $4 a book on Amazon it actually costs about the same to buy used there vs. new at Borders unless I hit a really cheap book online.

Tiffany – Thanks for the push on Twilight. I feel like it is a book I really need to concentrate on so I’m trying to finish the chick lit/easy books now while I’m on vacation not wanting to think and then I’ll start Twilight. One of my coworkers has been pushing that series on me as well so I need to go ahead and start.
The Meg Cabot books were a nice surprise. Chick Lit books can be so hard to read/judge by the cover and synopsis on the back. I’ve come across a lot of good ones and a lot of bad ones. Luckily Meg’s are on the good side of things.

Thanks for stopping by Robin. What did you think of Twilight? Did you read the rest of the series?
