It seems like right after Losing Weight/Being Healthier on the list of New Year’s Resolutions, the next most popular resolution is to save more money or be more budget conscious. I think this New Years, both of these resolutions are going to see a large jump in popularity. I know I am working towards being more healthy now – why wait till New Years to get started – and I will be working towards getting my budget in line so Mike and I can start saving for a house. No use in buying a lot of things if I don’t have a nice place to display or store them right?
One way to trim your budget is to reevaluate your insurance every six months to one year. Mike and I just finished performing a car insurance comparison between our current provider and others on the market and we found that our insurance carrier is on the cheaper side of the scale. While it may seem like a pain to switch carriers, if the price difference is large it will be well worth it. Your budget and bank accounts will thank you.
