For some reason today, I started having camping memories. I am not a huge outdoorsy girl and my only real experiences camping were with the girl scouts in cabins and the boy scouts in tents. My brother was a boy scout and his troop encouraged and allowed family camping. But the girl scout camping was troop girls only and in the woods not too far away from home. My first experience was in December and boy was it cold, kind of like it is today here in Houston. I remember we all wanted to warm up near the fire which worked really well but the next morning boy that shower was awfully cold. I don’t know if there ever was hot water. They so should have installed a tankless water heater for the bathrooms so that we could have some hot water during those cold winter months. It would have been a little nicer waking up to a warm shower rather than a freezing one. It was fun nevertheless and now I have fun memories like this of the few times I attempted to camp. I think this might be why I prefer hotels over tents.
