The Blonde Diaries

Often times we hear the phrase support our troops, but don’t know how to help or how to support them other than waving flags and expressing our gratitude when we run into one of our military members.  I will admit I don’t know what I can do either.  I was on Sears.com shopping today for Holiday items and ran across a link for a page on their website for the Sears Heroes at Home Wish Registry.  I wasn’t quite sure what it was but it sounded interesting so I went ahead and clicked the link to check it out.

What I found out was that Sears is running a “promotion” for our military families right now. Military families register on Sears.com for the Sears Heroes Wish Registry. Then people like you and I who are just visiting Sears.com and are looking for ways to support our troops who are serving all over the world protecting us can donate any dollar amount we want to the general registry fund. At the end of the drive, Sears is going to tally up the donations and split them evenly in the form of Sears gift cards to all military families who have registered for the Wish Registry. How great is that?! Sears is also sharing the stories of many of the different military families who have registered with us on their webpage for this program. I am very excited for this program as it gives me a little insight into what our military families go through on a day to day basis and provides us a way to help make a small difference in their lives.
