Why is it that EVERY time I need to be on a strict, no shopping budget each of my favorite stores offers great sales, coupons, and online shopping discount codes? Hurricane Ike dented my bank account a little bit because there were some things Mike and I forgot to pack, couldn’t pack, and since we were away from home we couldn’t eat at home like we normally do. Then to go on vacation right after that didn’t help at all. We didn’t go completely crazy purchasing things but a few things here and there added up. With an upcoming move at the end of the month, I am left to a no shopping for fun budget.
So what is appearing in my physical and email mailboxes? Discounts to Sephora, Saks, White House|Black Market, Gap, the list just goes on and on. It almost seems as if the stores know when you aren’t suppose to be shopping and send these coupons and specials your way to taunt you. I’ve been using this as an opportunity though to pare down my email list and unsubscribe from stores I don’t shop at very much. Hopefully next time I need to save money I won’t have the extra coupons staring at me.
