Chick Lit: Interview with Sophie Kinsella in her Shoe Cubbard

We all know that Becky Bloomwood, the main character in Sophie Kinsella’s Shopaholic series, loves shoes but where did she get that love from?

I think I have found the answer in this fun interview with Sophie Kinsella as she opens up her own shoe cubbard. Can I tell you that this shoe cubbard is exactly how I would imagine Becky’s shoe cubbard: fun and pink! It is funny to watch this video and hear Sophie recall stories about some of her favorite pairs of shoes. I wish I had a memory like this. Maybe I just need to get better shoes or more memorable shoes? lol I hope you enjoy this video. I enjoyed seeing this side of Sophie because it helped me relate the author to the character in the books she loves to write and I love to read. I’m totally about unmemorable shoes - my favorites are flip flops…

I do have one memorable pair that I threw through my window the night of my sister’s high school graduation after I locked my car keys in the house and couldn’t miss her graduation.
