September already with Halloween coming soon
Author: The Blonde Diaries / Category: EntertainmentWhere did 2008 go? It seems like every time I turn around something else has come and gone and I am left thinking that 2008 is flying by and 2009 will be here soon. I have to say that I am fully enjoying 2008 and I am not missing anything but it just seems odd that time is passing so quickly. So now that September is upon us, it is time to focus on the next holiday: Halloween.
Halloween was my second favorite holiday, Christmas was first, Halloween second. I liked Halloween because I was able to dress up and hang out with my neighborhood friends while collecting candy from all of our neighbors. It was so much fun deciding if I wanted to be a 50′s bobby socker, a princess, or whatever the popular movie/character was that year. I actually went trick or treating at Walt Disney World two years ago and had such a fun time remembering what it was like to be young again and dress up. I was a flapper girl from the Roaring 1920s. This year at the Disney Halloween party I will be a Mouseketeer. It should be fun.
I wish adults were able to dress up more. I think it would be fun to have an office Halloween party. If nothing else, I think wearing fun and wild wigs on Halloween day (or the Friday before) would be a blast. It would keep everyone in the office “work appropriate” and it would not be too distracting to all wear fun wigs and it would allow everyone to let loose a little and remember the fun times we had growing up. Halloween Adventure, one of the internet’s largest halloween costume stores, has a huge selection of wigs (and costumes) which would be perfect for the office. I might run it past a few people in my work group and see what they think of this idea.
Does your office do anything fun for Halloween? Perhaps dress up or at least don a wig? I would love to hear all about it so I can pass it along. As always drop a comment.
