Moving Part 2
I wrote yesterday about how when I moved to Houston a few years ago I didn’t think about the small things that I would need like doctors. I worried about finding an apartment, insurance, electricity, and phone/internet. Another good idea to go ahead and find as soon as you start meeting people in your neighboorhood or at work is a decent handyman. I have been lucky that I live in an apartment and have it covered but I’m not sure where I would have started had I rented a house or townhome. If you are looking for local professionals check out clicksmart.com which is an online directory. They have hundreds of categories listed in their database and using simple search terms such as handyman in San Diego or San Diego handyman you will receive quality results in a short amount of time. Today I was searching for florists in Houston and came up with a promising local resource. I will be calling tomorrow.
