You always heard fiber was good for you but did you realize how good it was? I never did until I read this tidbit of information the other day. Though I do have to say too much fiber can really really make you uncomfortable so watch out how much you do take in each day and add it slowly to your diet! I know every time I go back on Weight Watchers I have to watch out how much I am eating and what I’m eating otherwise boy am I a bloated mess.

The American Journal of Epidemiology found that people who ate at least 27 grams of fiber a day had a larger lung capacity than those that took in 10 grams or less. Researchers also found that these people were also 15% less likely to develop chronic pulmonary disease.
