Do you have pesky cravings? I know I get them all the time and boy are they hard to tame sometimes. I am always looking for new and helpful ways to keep them in check. I found this tip the other day in my magazines and thought I’d give it a try and share it with yall as well. Mike tends to chew gum in the afternoons and I bet it helps him out. I’m going to have to ask him tomorrow when we talk on the phone.
Glasgow Caledonian University in Scotland found that people who had a piece of gum after lunch felt fuller & experienced fewer cravings than those who didn’t. If that isn’t enough reason to start chewing gum, researchers also found that those who did consume gum after lunch consumed 39 fewer calories from sweet snacks each day. I know 39 calories per day doesn’t sound like a lot but that equates to 4 pounds per year that they avoided gaining by chewing gum!
