An Organizer’s Dream Come True
I remember as a child going to the local Walmart, Kmart, and office supply stores to purchase all of my school supplies for the upcoming year. Then when I would get home with my mother, we would sit down and write my name on most of the supplies with a black Sharpie marker and others we would just write on the outside of the box and hope I did not misplace them. After the supplies came the larger items: uniforms, physical education clothes, and backpacks. All were to be tried on for sizing and then washed and labeled. It was quite exciting at the time because I never knew what the upcoming year would bring me besides new and old friends and hopefully and increased knowledge base.
I still have a love for office supplies. I tend to walk away from the office with more supplies than I need when I go over to check my mail or pick something up to bring back to the client site. There is just something about pink post-it notes and highlighters that I cannot leave behind - I just have to have them! So it shouldn’t be a huge surprise that I was shopping online today and was browsing office supplies and organization supplies. I am not so good with organizing but I am trying to work on that going forward. I found the cutest label maker while shopping and I am really debating on ordering it today or waiting until I get back from my weekend visit to my parents this weekend. I have tons of boxes and crates at home but no labels to know what is in each one. A label maker would help me know quickly because I could create Color labels based on the type of items! Label makers are also helpful for back to school shopping as they are a quick way to label your child’s school supplies and uniforms so that they can easily be tracked.
I know everyone doesn’t have the time we use to back in the day so hand writing might be too time intensive but labels wouldn’t. DYMO is a label maker manufacturer who has a great web page devoted to using labels with back to school shopping so if you are getting ready for the first day of school go check them out.
