Warm Fuzzies
My office/conference room at work is located on the inner wall of the building. I thought this would be a good thing when we first moved in the room because before we had a conference room with large windows so any change in outside temperatures were felt right away. Well what I didn’t think about was the constant blast of the office air conditioning unit and no sun to beat down on me to warm up. So I have had to use the space heater I inherited from the two previous seniors on my audit engagement to stay warm during the day. I really don’t like this method because I did forget once to turn the heater off and it ran all weekend long unattended and the senior before me did that all the time. I could just see the floor going up in flames and everyone finding out it was our fault. So I’ve been looking for alternatives. I have a cardigan I keep on my chair but that doesn’t help my legs or feet very much. So I thought of a brilliant idea of I say so myself: cozy, warm socks. They would be easy to throw in my bag and carry back and forth to work with me. I found some cute polka dotted socks made by Hue which is normally a great brand for fuzzy, warm socks so I think I’ll buy one pair of polka dots and one pair in another bright color to keep my spirits up when we get busy and it gets colder. If you are having warmth problems in your office due to the air conditioner, think about some warm, fuzzy socks. I can’t wait to get mine and give them a try.
