A follow up on Stem Cell Research

Author: The Blonde Diaries  /  Category: health

Not too long ago I wrote a post about the C’elle stem cell collection kit and cryo-preservation of your specimen. At first I was not too sure about collecting stem cells from my menstruation fluid to preserve for future use once science catches up but after thinking about my family history of diabetes, heart disease, stroke, and Alzheimer’s it seems silly for me NOT to do this.

Watching my grandmother give herself insulin shots and pricking her finger to test her blood sugar levels before every meal just tears me up. I am a tad squeamish over needles to begin with but seeing how much she has to endure because she did not fully take care of herself when she was younger as well as the fact that there is no cure for diabetes right now makes me reconsider the idea of saving some stem cells for when scientists do have a break through. If that wasn’t enough to tell me I should do something, watching my great great uncle slow battle against Alzheimer’s does it for me. If you have never seen someone go from completely normal with a sharp memory to not even knowing who you are or who they are within a matter of years it is quite sad and upsetting. I have fond memories of growing up and going to visit my great-great uncle and eating fresh corn from his garden while listening to stories of my relatives in Poland that he and my great-great aunt would go visit. But now those stories are just that, memories, because he can no longer remember going over to Poland and he must live in a home. I hope that a breakthrough will be made so that no one else has to see a loved one suffer like this.

Listening to C’elle Client Testimonials and just remembering my loved ones suffering because of these diseases has made me want to learn more About the Science behind stem cells and what I can do to help myself, my family, and scientists find a cure. One of the newest discovery in stem cells research is that we females have stem cells that self-renew. Additionally, these menstrual stem cells are unique because they have many properties and characteristics similar to both bone marrow and embryonic stem cells. These cells can multiply rapidly and can differentiate into many other types of stem cells such as neural, cardiac, bone, fat, cartilage and possibly others. Additionally, I like how collection of these cells do not harm the donor nor are they invasive to collect. All you have to do is purchase a kit which is available on the C’elle website (at a buy one get one sale!) and follow the instructions on collection and mail in for preservation. It really is a great way to help protect yourself and family members when science does catch up so visit the website today to learn about these stem cells and order your kit as shown below!
