We’ve all heard that old expression “A Penny Saved is a Penny Earned” but some where along the way I think it got lost or ignored. Just the other day I was at Buckees (popular truck stop between Houston and San Antonio where everyone stops) and saw a group of teens playing and one dropped their change on the ground. Well instead of picking it up, they just ran off and jumped into their car. I guess 12 cents may not be much to them as they made sure to keep the bills in their hand but to me 12 cents is 12 cents and I will gladly bend down and pick it up! Seeing first hand these kids throwing money away like that (yes I know it was 12 cents) makes me realize that it really is not a huge shocker to see so many people on tv and in the newspapers asking for Debt relief and Debt help. I agree many did not purposely get themselves into this position but some did because of their attitude. Luckily, BillsIQ is here to help everyone stay out of debt and get out of debt if they already are in debt. BillsIQ’s website gives you a financial checkup for free and once you are done gives you tips and advice on how to stay financially fit or if you need it how to Consolidate debt through a Debt consolidation service.

The site is free to get started with so head on over today to see how financially fit you are and to get the help you need if you do have a little unwanted debt you would like to pay off.
Here are a few other tips you might like if picking up pennies is not your thing:
1. Consider using natural light during the day by opening up your windows vs. light bulbs
2. Dropping your hot water heater just a few degrees will help you save on your monthly electric bill
3. Consider a crock pot. You can make some fabulous meals that will last your family a few days. You won’t be slaving away in the kitchen over the crock pot which will allow you to enjoy cooking again and not run out to eat.
4. Consider wearing some items like your pjs more than once before washing. It will cut down on the number of loads you wash per week.
