I have mastered the art of using the mini-Heineken keg to pour beer into glasses. I know I know. You probably either don’t care or don’t understand why I feel accomplished. Well I will explain. You see last fall Heineken revealed their mini-keg or refrigerator sized keg so you could have “draft” beer anytime you like. Well Mike and I’s first attempt at using the keg was a complete failure. We purchased one in Houston and drove with it to Sugarland so it was good and shook up before the LSU vs. UF football game and never settled. Just lots and lost of foam spewing out.
Well last week Mike and I decided to give it another go and Mike went and picked one up this morning so it would have time to settle. Mike poured the first 2 glasses and well it was foamy but not too bad. I decided to give round two a try and well I figured out the trick. You have to keep the cup tilted so the beer barely hits the cup (more like runs down the side of the up) and slowly pour into the cup to provide the optimal amount of foam and beer. I feel like I have unraveled a huge mystery but know I really haven’t. lol.
