With the recent turn of events this year with oil prices and inflation, many people are opting to take a “staycation”. What is a “staycation”? Basically people who are using their vacation time and staying at home or traveling within their city/state instead of venturing out to the normal vacation destinations. I actually think this is a fabulous idea because there are so many people living in or around large cities that do not know about half of the things you can do there. For example, I have lived in Houston for 3 years already and have yet to go to Moody Gardens. With the way things are going maybe I will go this year.
Another cool idea could be taking a motorcycle adventures excursion. Eagleriders offers motorcycle rentals either round trip or one way where you can cruise around on a motorcycle and explore your area or venture out to another city. Eagleriders also offers guided tours on bike if you aren’t sure where you want to go but know that you want to get out and go somewhere and learn something new. If motorcycles are not your thing they also offer ATV and snowmobile tours. Sounds pretty cool. You can pick your ride and book it online in just a few quick clicks. Just looking at the pictures online of the Grand Canyon makes me want to find a way to Arizona and take a guided tour of the canyons. I am usually not an outdoors type of girl but riding with my hair blowing in the wind and listening to a tour guide sounds like a great way to experience the awesomeness of the Canyons. They also have a Houston/San Antonio route that looks interesting. I might have to check that out and see where they go. A trip to Galveston Island or around San Antonio could be a fun weekend thing to do. If you are looking for a fun staycation check out Eagleriders.com.
