I don’t think there is anyone in this country (or many other countries) that are not feeling the increase in gas prices. As someone who works in the oil & gas industry I am sorta upset over the increases and sorta not because it is job security and my pay raises have covered the rising costs so far. But I know that won’t always be the case and it’s not the case for many so I do have sympathy for those feeling it the hardest. But I am digressing. I am not one to get into politics or debates and I don’t want this thread to turn into that.
So one thing I found today for us budgeters who still want to have a budget vacation and stretch our perks were discounts on car rentals. Advantage.com is offering discounts for people traveling throughout the Southwest US. One item that caught my eye was a 50% discount on convertibles. I have never ridden in a convertible let alone owned one but renting one on my Disney vacation this summer sounds like a blast. Nothing says summer like driving around with the sun shining and your hair blowing! So if you want a little joy in this summer of record high gas prices consider renting a fun car while you are on vacation. It might take the sting out just a little or you can try out (via renting) a more fuel efficient car in case you are in the market to buy one.

I like to travel very much and I have also notice the increase in gas prices, but 50% discount for renting cars will help me to save some money, and increase in gas prices will not prevent to have a good rest.
