Summer Vacation
Ever since I was a wee one I lived for summer vacation. Not much has changed even after joining the work force and taking a career in a field where I don’t get a summer vacation of 3 months away from work. I guess the concept is just ingrained in me that summer is the time for vacations. So the other day Mike and I were talking. Mike never had true summer vacations so he doesn’t live for vacation like I do. Mike would rather have fun year round instead of skimping and saving all year for a vacation. To an extent I understand his point and agree. On the other hand though I can’t imagine not going somewhere on vacation. So the reason we had this talk is because next year is a big vacation year and he’s trying to ensure that I won’t freak out in 2010 when we can’t take a regular vacation. But I do already have an idea for 2010: Las Vegas travel!!! I figure we can just fly over for a long weekend and catch a UFC fight with my Sunshine Rewards earnings and see the lights and sights. I still have a lot of my information from researching a trip for last year that we never went on so it shouldn’t be too difficult to get a start when I need to start planning again.
