With the increase in costs all around us, many families are having to find alternative vacation destinations or budget friendly activities in their own hometown. Today, I was searching for concerts in Houston when I found some information I wanted to pass along for those with children. Radio Disney is hosting a summer concert series in Wildwood, New Jersey that is totally free at Morey’s Pier. This could be a great way to have some fun in the sun on a budget.
Not sure what things to do in New Jersey while visiting? You could visit Morey’s Pier of course! It’s a pier on the Atlantic seaboard that has amusement rides and a water park. You could also google Wildwood events for events scheduled during the summer which may interest you or your children. A trip to the coast to see the beach might not be a bad either either during your trip. I know that I love relaxing on the beach and taking dips in the ocean water.
With the economy tightening, a trip to a local amusement park is probably more sensible and economical than a trip to Disney. If you aren’t sure where to stay you should google Wildwood, NJ motels to find a list of all the hotels right next to the coast and the pier. So let Disney come to you! Some of the guests in the concert series are Raven from That’s so Raven and Michael Musso from Hannah Montana Show. Sometimes seeing your favorite tv stars beat seeing the mouse.
