I was curious again and decided to do a little more research on the Lap-Band procedures. I have a co-worker whom both he and his wife underwent the procedure last year and have done pretty well with losing weight. I decided to do some googling for doctors in Houston using this search term “lap band houston” and had some luck. Apparently, there is a surgery specialist in Houston, Dr. Collier, who provides free seminars if you are interested in the procedure and would like to know more about it and if you qualify. All you must do is register online or by phone for one of the weekly seminars. Dr. Collier practices in the North Houston area (Spring, Conroe, The Woodlands) and attended both the University of Tennessee and the University of Texas before starting his own practice. If you are in Houston and are interested you should look into this free seminar as a good starting point to getting some initial questions and concerns addressed. I will bookmark this page in case I run across anyone else talking about this procedure and is in the Houston/East Texas area.
