About two weeks ago, Netflix sent an email out to each of their subscribers notifying them that Netflix would be doing away with the multiple profiles under 1 Netflix account. Mike and I were quite sad because he has a list going and I have a list going which has movies each one of us would like to see. We don’t have to worry about one large list and making sure he has movies and I have movies all mixed in and allocated appropriately. It helps make sure we both get to see the movies we want to when we want.
Well after members sent emails and made phone calls, Netflix has listened and announced today they are keeping multiple profiles for each account! I am very happy with this “change”. It is refreshing to hear a company care about what their customers want and respond positively. Not very many companies will do this. Netflix truly is a gem in the DVD rental service.
Here is the official email:
You spoke, and we listened. We are keeping Profiles. Thank you for all the calls and emails telling us how important Profiles are.
We are sorry for any inconvenience we may have caused. We hope the next time you hear from us we will delight, and not disappoint, you.
-Your friends at Netflix

I remember hearing that phrase from my brother while he was in Boy Scouts. After hearing about Mike’s drive from Dallas to Houston on Friday and reading other travelers’ stories on the internet via message boards for the past few years I think the boy scouts might be onto something. One thing that I never think about when i go on road trips is an auto repair place in case my car dies or I’m in an accident in another town. While I can’t prepare for every place I drive through on my journeys, finding a few shops in a few different, large cities might be a good idea. Mike and I keep talking about a trip over to Las Vegas and I think we will have to rent a car for getting around. I think I’ll add looking for an auto body las vegas repair shop to my planning checklist now so I won’t forget. If you are wanting to add this to your checklist which I highly recommend or maybe you need to find a repair shop in your home town check out Collision Repair Experts’ website as it is very simple to use and you can search for shops in all 50 states.

I remember growing up and each Sunday at 6pm ABC would show a Disney movie as part of their Wonderful World of Disney series. Somewhere along the lines ABC and Disney quit doing this and a void was created. Lately, I’ve noticed Disney movies playing on Saturday nights on ABC. As usual, I did a google search and found that Disney has restarted their Wonderful World of Disney night on ABC. This time around it is being held on Saturday nights rather than Sunday nights. Either way I am excited especially since Mike and I are usually home on Saturday nights and unsure what we should do or watch. Now we can just flip the tv to ABC and watch a fun Disney movie!
Here is the upcoming schedule so you can plan a family night with your loved ones:
- July 5th -> Confessions of a Teenage Drama Queen
- July 12th -> The Princess Diaries 2: Royal Engagement
- July 19th -> Freaky Friday
- July 26th -> Peter Pan
All shows begin at 8EST/7CST and are of course on ABC!

Today at my Sunshine Rewards Forum meet up, one of the girls, Lisa, was talking about how her family has traveled and seen almost every US state and has been to Canada. They accomplished this by driving to their summer vacation destinations each summer in lieu of flying. You see Lisa has a family of 8 so flying would have been very expensive for all of them.
Hearing her talk about their family vacations seeing the US reminded me of the times my family would drive up to Pennsylvania to visit my grandparents. I remember how much I enjoyed looking out the windows from the back seat and seeing the changing scenery as we went from Louisiana further north. Seeing hills turn into mountains, feeling the cooler air when we’d get out and stretch. I really hope my own family will be able to do the same. I’m not sure we’d be able to drive all over but a few places here or there and seeing different parts of the country seem nice. One place that will be on the top of my list is the Outer Banks of North Carolina. I’ve never visited the Atlantic side of the coast for any period of time and North Carolina is just so beautiful that I think it would be great to make that drive.

Wedding by The Blonde Diaries on June 28th, 2008 5:47 pm
Well it is Saturday and I haven’t given my official wedding update yet. Last time I wrote about it was Monday after I booked the Zoo! So this week has been a pretty quiet week. Mike’s been out of town but I still did some googling related to the wedding. I’ve been trying to get an idea of possible flowers to use. Nothing has stood out so far and I’m not too impressed with the flowers in “season” in July so I’m going to have to get creative and figure some things out when I find a florist.
So besides the reception getting booked, my wedding shoes arrived from Target. They are silver and fit so that works! I also had my first bridal/wedding shower today and boy was I surprised. You see today I was suppose to be meeting with some girls from the Sunshine Rewards Forums for a let’s just meet type deal. Well little did I know they were talking about me and had planned a surprise wedding shower for me! I was so surprised and so thankful that they did this. I was truly touched. I will post some pictures once they send them my way.
So for this week I am going to order the cake topper and start working on my scrapbooks. I also think I’m going to start working on inviting my attendants to be in the wedding and figuring out what I want to get them. As of right now it’s between some freshwater pearls or a travel toiletry bag. Maybe if I can find a good price on both then I’ll put the pearls in the bag to give them the day of and they can wear them to the wedding.
