Leasing Space

Lately, with the price of everything sky rocketing I have been thinking about how high my rent will be going up this fall. I have been lucky the past 2 years and have only seen a $50/yr increase. This time around though I think it will be higher. :(

Then I started thinking about small businesses and even the larger corporations out there. Their rent is much more dependent on market conditions, real estate, and utilities. I can only imagine they will be going up and up in the coming years. Many corporations will be able to bear some of the increases but I worry about the small business and smaller corporations trying to make it. It might not be a bad idea for all of us renters to start proactively looking for other accommodations in case our rents do go up. If you aren’t sure where to start just open up google and entering your key words like apartments in Houston or office space Connecticut for example. From there just start clicking on sites and start writing down numbers, figures, and locations. Hopefully this “recession” will not last too long and the impact on us all will be small enough that no one has to move but I find it’s best to be prepared.
