Weekend Plans: work and cleaning
I have been looking forward to this weekend since, well, Monday. I’m hitting that point where I have been working for 5 straight months with absolutely no vacation days nor sick days and lots of overtime. I feel just a tad burnt out. I do have a vacation scheduled in 2 weeks where I’m just going to veg out in my apartment. The time originally was to be spent touring the UK but fate chose a different path for me this time around.
So what do I have to look forward to this weekend? More of the same: cooking a new recipe or two, writing employee evaluations, hitting the gym, and continuing my cleaning out and cleaning up spree. I’m not sure what new recipe I’ll be making but I have a large order from Omaha Steaks heading to my doorstep today which contains fillet mignon, crab legs, and shrimps. It was a gift Mike received from work around Christmas time so we decided to cash it in while we were still thinking about it. I’m not really sure what to do with any of it so it shall be a good time well had in the kitchen. I will probably check for a surf and turf recipe tonight.
Unfortunately, employee evaluations are due on Tuesday and I have pushed them off for too long so I’ll be writing all day tomorrow. Its ok though because Mike will be working so I should be done by the time he gets home and I can do the laundry and hang clothes in between each one so I won’t get too bogged down. I’m not sure how I’m going to tackle the apartment though. It all has to be done because its starting to get dusty and the floors dirty. I don’t want my friend walking in next weekend to a dirty apartment. I think I’m going to pull out my handy swifter duster, vacuum, and microfiber mop and just tackle everything room by room. If I find any short cuts or helpful hints I will definitely report back because I know cleaning is not everyone’s favorite way to spend their time off from work.

Well we have a normal weekend planned - BUSY. Cameron has a softball game tonight (the last one of the season and first place depends on it), Becka is having company over tonight, my best friend is coming in for the weekend, and my dad turns 50 tomorrow! No rest for me.
But summer vacation is fast approaching - 3 more weeks!
