Keeping current career wise
Today I learned I had another friend join the “other side”. What is the other side you ask? Quite simply he quit public accounting for a job in industry. Damn him! I am quite happy for him though. I think this job will be a great fit as he loves to travel and his new company is global and will be sending him all over the place. Its not my cup of tea but for him it is so it all works out well.
But after hearing yet another friend of mine obtain a fabulous job, it does have me thinking I need to update my resume and work on a couple of standard cover letters for when I gain enough experience to move on. I am content with my current client/job responsibilities and nothing is too crazy just yet even in these market conditions so I think I’m going to hang on a while longer but keep my ears open in case a fabulous job I want comes open.
Does anyone have any tips on websites I could refer to for cover letter writing and updating resumes? I prefer to look at a few sites to get the best advice and ideas. It has just been a very long time since I have had to think about doing this that I don’t know where to look anymore.
