I am having such a blast getting everything situated the way I want it to be with my blog but there is one thing that is driving me batty right now. I can’t get the buzzfuze plugin figured out. I have it installed and activated as directed but i can’t figure out how to get it activated for each post. So bear with me as I test some things out

I am an avid reader. I absolutely love to read just about anything. My absolute favorite genres are classics like Bronte and Austen and then chick lit. Luckily when I go to the book store the classics are all usually in the $6-$8 range per book. The chick lit books though are a totally different story. I find the cheapest of those to be $13 and then they go up for soft covers! Its really hard for me to justify buying a new author because I have been burned by so many that feel that all you need to do is write about 300 pages, include a loopy girl as the main character, a crappy or good boyfriend, and then put a pretty cover on the book in a bright color with swirly writing and that’s it.
So I’ve decided to look for alternative ways to read books. There are some that I buy no matter what because I love the author and series/story line. For those books I’ll usually venture to Borders or put them in my book queue at Book of the Month Club 2 (formerly Zooba) for $9.99 (hardbacks and free shipping!). For others that I’m not sure about I use to do amazon.com used books but then I’d end up paying shipping and being left with stacks of books that I don’t have space for.
I started looking for new avenues. The first one I found that I thought was really cool was the used book sale at my local library. The library holds the sale the last Saturday of the month and they sell the donated used books for 25 cents (small paperbacks) or $1 (hard cover or large paperbacks). I was shocked at how many chick lit books they had the other day. I was able to walk out with 4 for $4 instead of $52! Now this is also awesome because I now have a place to donate them when I am done. I tried selling on amazon.com and half.com but the hassle of going to the post office and the fact that there are major sellers on there selling my books for pennies just isn’t worth it to me.
The other thing I read about today which I had no idea about and want to try is a site where you can swap books with other book fans. I found a blog post about it on Janet’s Book Nook today where you can read all about it yourself Want to get rid of those old books? If you have used this service and have any experiences with them let me know by leaving a comment.

I just received my two Walt Disney World Trivia books in the mail last week and have started reading/going through them. I haven’t made it too far into either book but the few questions that I have read have given me some pretty interesting factoids about WDW. At first, I bought the books thinking they’d be great for the plane trip down or while waiting for some of the shows like Finding Nemo: The Musical or Fantasmic to start but I have quickly found that the questions have become fun conversation pieces for Mike and I while we eat.
So to spread the Disney Magic around I thought I’d so a WDW Trivia Series using some of the questions from the books I have bought and creating my own based on things I learn from newsletters, podcasts, and Disney Message Boards. Now to keep answers hidden until you answer you will have to go to the Disney Trivia Answers Page to get the correct answer and the tidbit. No need to spoil the questions with answers right below
So while I get my Answers Page going and pick my first few questions, bookmark my blog/rss feed it and get excited!

I hate paying full price for clothes. I think its a function of my frugalness (to an extent) and the high I get when I buy name brands from 50-75% off. As a result I have learned which days the major department stores put things on sale (Nordstrom & Macy’s every Wednesday) and when my local Marshall’s/TJ Maxx gets new shipments each week (Mon, Wed, Thurs). On top of that I have a few websites where I check for coupon codes and cash back for shopping online. Lastly, ebay is a huge friend of mine. Nothing like a cute Ella Moss top originally $100 for just $25. SCORE!
So with all of that said I try to stay off shopping websites or at least just check out the sale sections. Two weeks ago I was on Bloomingdales.com and found the cutest Sweet Pea top but it was $70 (eek!). So I did the responsible thing and put the credit card up and waited to see if it would go on sale soon. Additionally, I went ahead and cashed out my mypoints points for $25 gift card to Bloomingdales to go towards this if it did indeed go on sale.
Alas, when I checked on a break from work tonight I found that my shirt at Bloomies was no longer. Completely sold out. I am normally ok with losing out on some items as there are usually other items that I will quickly fall in love with but for some reason this shirt is just one that will stick with me. I think part of it was because it was purple and purple tends to be hard to find especially during summer. So while I hate that I waited too long in this instance I will just have to keep my eyes open in case it gets returned or shows up on ebay or until the next shirt comes along. At least I will have my $25 gc waiting.
