The results are in (for Disney ADRs)…
Well yesterday was THE day. My 180 day mark that I have been anxiously awaiting. I’m sure you are curious of the outcome but I’m going to drag it out just a little
Once again I set my alarm clocks for 5:50am and 5:55am and attempted to go to bed early. Wasn’t too sleepy so I stayed up finishing my book of the week: Shopaholic Takes Manhattan and went to bed around 1ish. Feel into a nice deep sleep and was woken up by both alarms. It wasn’t too hard to get up because I had a reason to listen to my alarms rather than snoozing for another 45 minutes like I do each morning when I have to get up for work.
So I quickly turned the alarms off so I didn’t wake my family up, made sure the door was tightly closed, and searched in my contacts listing for the entry for Disney Dining (a tip I picked up online). I dialed a few minutes before 6 and got the recording that they were closed. Darn! Can’t get through the prompts early. So I hung up and right as the clock hit 6 dialed again and got thru! I quickly made it through the prompts and got put on hold - I guess until the CMs got their computers going - and then got a live CM in under 2 minutes. Yes!
So I quickly went to the date I had wanted for Cindy’s Round Table which was mid-week by the way and crossed my fingers and asked and lo and behold wide open! So I picked my preferred time and was able to relax after that and chit chat with my CM a little more until we were done with the rest of my picks. All in all I thought we did well and I was glad everything was open and at a reasonable time for dinner. Here is what we got in order:
- Crystal Palace (MK)
- Rose & Crown (EPCOT)
- 190 Park Fare (Grand Floridian)
- Sci Fi (MGM)
- Cindy’s Round Table (MK)
- Garden Grill (EPCOT)
- Liberty Tree Tavern (MK)
- Biergarten (EPCOT)
- ‘Ohana (Polynesian - breakfast)
Now the fun will begin as we sit here and double think our reservations, make changes to them, and then decide if we should go with our originals! There is also the whole what counter services to eat at and where to eat our first night there and possibly the day we leave for lunch. So just making the initial ADRs is the tip of the iceberg. I still have lots of time to play around with them.
Oh and I did find out through my friendly CM that dates for Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party will be released May 1 so that will add another thing for me to book as well as changing dinner times for that night.

AWESOME! Congrats on getting what you want! I was totally nodding my head in agreement…I know all too well the rethinking of ADRs phase! But it’s still fun! What a great relief for you & M!
On a side note…LOVE the Shopaholic books myself! Read Shopaholic & a Baby in WDW last year & laughed out loud many times! DH kept asking what was so funny!! :0) Also, heard that they are making a movie about the first book & Isla Fisher is the lead! I think she’d be great in it!!
Congrats on getting your ADR’s… you crack me up by getting up at 6am but it paid off with getting exactly what you wanted.
Yay for ADR’s. That’s my favorite Shopaholic book.
Congrats!! I’m so glad everything worked out for you!! Looks like a great line up and I look forward to hearing more about your planning. (oh, and I love the shopaholic books too)
